Music Educator Leah Irby

As an AuDHD musician and educator, I love breaking complex skills into simple, practical steps that create real results quickly. Whether teaching beginning strings or guiding voice work, my focus has always been the same: clear structure, relaxed technique, and helping people feel confident from the start. With degrees in performance and teacher certification from the University of Washington, I have worked with thousands of students across the United States, India, and Sweden for over 25 years. My orchestra programs in Washington state were recognized among the top in the region, known for developing confident musicians and cohesive ensembles with an expressive, relaxed sound. Today, my primary focus is Song Language — using voice as a tool for expression, regulation, and connection. While I continue to offer private string lessons locally, my broader creative work includes music and writing projects that weave sound and story together. Now based in Sweden, I continue to explore music as a living practice — singing, dancing, and listening closely to the rhythms of everyday life.
